Buying a car is an investment and you’ll want to protect that, won’t you? After all, the better condition your car is in when you come to sell it, the more money you’ll get for it.
And looking after your car is far more detailed than not getting any dinks or scratches on the body work. Caring for the inside of your vehicle is important too!
Not sure how to do this? Don’t worry, we’re here to help with the following top tips for protecting the inside of your car.
When we sit in the sun for too long our skin dries out, burns and then eventually peels. And our vehicles suffer from sun damage too, so don’t neglect them.
Paint, upholstery and your dashboard can fade and discolour when exposed to high temperatures and direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time. A great way of safeguarding your interior’s colour is to use a windshield sun shade.
A shade is a reflective blanket you place in your window to block sun rays from penetrating your vehicle. Used in both the front and back window during the summer months, this affordable item can do a lot for your beloved car.
Alternatively, park indoors or in a shaded area wherever possible. We’d avoid parking under trees though, as you may come back to your car to find a present from a local bird friend.
Light coloured leather seats may look amazing, but after frequent use the material may start to look a little drab. Wear and tear, staining or even scuffs on the leather will make it look unloved and tatty. So, keep your leather seats looking almost like brand new by protecting them with seat covers.
These are made in all different kinds of materials, colours and sizes to fit pretty much any vehicle. And they’re reasonably priced too!
Keeping your car clean will not only make it a more pleasant ride but using specially designed products could actually protect your interior.
If you do your online research you’ll find that there are some products that will add a protective layer to your vinyl or leather work to prevent damage. They’ll repel water and oils, meaning spillages can easily be cleaned up. And conditioners are also popular as they keep the leather soft and in tip top condition.
Love that ‘new car’ smell? Then why not breathe a lease of life into your old faithful with anti-static formulated dashboard cleaner? It’ll leave your dashboard looking clean and shiny, plus will prevent the need to use heavier cleaners in future.
Follow the above tips and your car will look its best at all times. And when you decide it’s time to sell, remember who gave you that advice! There’s no need to Google ‘sell my car Wales’, come straight to us here at Cashpoint4cars for a fast, safe and easy way to sell your car.
